"Inspector Mouse" by Bernard Stone and Ralph Steadman (Published by Arrow Books, London 1987)
No way, I had totally forgotten about this one - will have to get a copy - my son has a thing for detectives, and I love Ralph Steadman. Ta for the reminder! :)
