"Die Leute von Seldwyla" By Gottfried Keller (Published by Wilhelm Goldmann Verlag, Germany 1957 - first published in 1874)



I bought this book purely for its cover as I can't read German! I wish I could find out who the illustrator was - just love all the characters as well as the whole design of the cover! The book is a collection of  5 short stories and, according to wikipedia, is one of the author's best known works, Gottfried Keller (1819-1890, Switzerland)  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gottfried_Keller

    Hi there, I'm a grad student doing research on this book ("The People of Seldwyla"). I've never seen this cover before, but it's gorgeous, and I would like to use it in a presentation (each of the scenes represents one of the novellas in the book, so it's quite useful!). Could you please share the bibliographic information, esp. the publisher and year? Thank you so much!
