A very grim outlook of the world, outlining the fears of a nuclear conflict between the great powers - a very real prospect if you lived in the 80's. There are no winners in Ungerer's pictures - just a humorous and cynical depiction of human folly.

interesting - he wasn't on my radar till I read a review of one of his books in the Guardian recently, good to see some of his illustrations 'in the flesh' as it were - ta for sharing!
